Sask. government researching water quality with ag tech

At the Livestock AgTech Happy Hour at Ag in Motion on July 16, 2024, Chelsey Siemens, a livestock and feed extension specialist with the province, said they are doing a research project through ADOPT (Agriculture Demonstration of Practices and Technology), looking at how FarmSimple can be used to monitor sulfate levels over the summer.

This year features 607 exhibitors, the highest number ever, and an expected attendance of 30,000 people — more than double the attendance of the first show in 2014, which had 12,000 people through the gates.

New pulse varieties incoming

Limagrain has some small red lentil varieties ready for commercialization, Benzon Lorenzana, the company’s head of cereals and pulse research for North America, said during the Ag in Motion show.
