Farmtario welcomes Jennifer Betzner to our team as a reporter.
Betzner holds a BSc from the University of Guelph in Honours Agriculture. She joined Farmtario as a reporter after spending time as a sales agronomist for an agriculture retailer. Throughout her summers in university she worked as a crop scout for a local input supplier and as a research assistant for a large agriculture chemical company.
Betzner has work experience in the crop sector, but she also has knowledge in livestock as she grew up on a livestock farm outside of Hamilton, Ont. From showing both beef and dairy throughout her 4-H career, managing her own flock of sheep for more than six years, working on a large dairy operation for almost a decade and growing up on a dairy farm, she has understanding of the many aspects in the livestock sector of agriculture.
She now resides in Cayuga, Ont. with her fiancé and assists him with his custom application business and family cash crop farm.
“We’re excited to have someone like Jennifer, with such experience across the agriculture sector, on our team,” said John Greig, editor of Farmtario. “Jennifer will help us continue to serve farmers with knowledgeable, insightful content online, in our daily email newsletter and in Farmtario newspaper.”
Watch for Jennifer’s articles and stories in upcoming publications and on the Farmtario website.
