Jeffrey-Way Hard Rock Twigs won her second of North America’s major dairy show championships when she took the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair’s Supreme Championship on Nov. 9, 2024.
The black cow with the huge frame also was the Grand Champion of the Royal Holstein show and the Grand Champion Holstein of the World Dairy Expo.
“She’s got the terrific rib cage and openness and flatness through her bone, and she’s got that wide front end all the way through,” said Jeff Stephens, who gave the reasons for the supreme championship winner, on behalf of the four judges of the dairy shows at the Royal.

Jeff Sayles judged the Jersey show, Markus Hehli judged the Red and White Holstein show, Jeff Stephens judged the Ayrshire show and Blair Weeks judged the Holstein show.
Stephens paid tribute to the winners of the dairy shows, including Vieux Village Gentleman Joy, the exceptional Ayrshire, which was also the Grand Champion of the Ayrshire show at the World Dairy Expo.
He said it’s been a long time since an Ayrshire champion of the quality of Joy has been seen in the Ayrshire show.
The cow was moved to a score of Excellent 97 points in between the World Dairy Expo and the Royal.
She’s owned by Florent, Bianca, and Vicky Foley of Piopolis, QC.
Intense Joel Delphie, the winner of the five-year-old Jersey class, was the Grand Champion of the Jersey show. She is owned by Weeksdale, Hi-Caliber, Rock Allen and F and D Borba.
The Red and White Holstein Grand Champion was the imposing Premium Apple Crisp Lilly from Butlerview Farm.
