The Gay Lea Dairy Museum is a treasure trove of Canadian dairy artifacts, and it brought several of them to the Canadian Dairy Xpo to show to dairy farmers.

Craig Steven, the general manager of the museum was at the show as part of the Gay Lea display, asking farmers to identify some strangely shaped artifacts that were involved in dairy farm management, evaluation and milk marketing. Some were easy to indentify, but other dated to the days before electricity and modern animal management. John Greig, Glacier FarmMedia’s senior livestock editor, asked Steven to explain some of the most interesting artifacts.
