Syngenta’s North American PowerPlant fleet allows for more data collection on new varieties

Establishment of crop variety trials by Syngenta became standardized and considerably more efficient over the past two years as the company purchased a fleet of 22 PowerPlant research planters from Iowa-based, family-run manufacturer Almaco.

Mike McMorris of the Livestock Research Innovation Corporation says the livestock industry needs far better surveillance to know as early as possible when a disease outbreak is imminent or happening, better biosecurity on all farms across all sectors, and better information sharing across organizations and agencies.
