Ottawa Valley Farm Show cancelled

The 2022 Ottawa Valley Farm Show has been cancelled.

The Ottawa Valley Seed Growers Association (OVSGA) made the decision to cancel the show due to the continued uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the challenges it presents to exhibitors and visitors.

Organizers said in an announcement they will be reaching out to all exhibitors and partners over the coming weeks to confirm details and opportunities for the 2023 Ottawa Valley Farm Show, to be held March 14 to 16, 2023 at the EY Centre.

Ontario’s other economic engine: agriculture and food

Ontario Federation of Agriculture president, Drew Spoelstra, says Ontario’s agriculture and agri-food sector should be recognized for its stability and economic driving force.

Despite the cancellation of the show, the OVSGA will continue celebrating its 95th year with the 2022 Ottawa Valley Championship Seed, Feed and Forage Show and Awards Presentations, local county seed shows and the 30th annual Prestigious Pedigreed Seed Auction with proceeds to Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.  Later this year, the OVSGA will announce scholarship opportunities, its annual photo contest and special projects taking place at the International Plowing Match.
