Nywening to lead CFFO for third year

Clarence Nywening was acclaimed as president of the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario (CFFO) for a third year at the organization’s recent annual meeting.

Nywening and vice-president Richard Blyleven were both acclaimed to their posts at the annual meeting held in Kitchener.

Blyleven, an egg farmer near Cayuga, has been serving as vice-president of the organization since 2015.

Nywening is also involved in poultry and owns a broiler hatching egg farm near Thamesville.

Three directors were also acclaimed to the board of directors at the annual meeting. They include:

  • Ed Scharringa of the Rockton area
  • Simon de Boer of Tara
  • Frank Hoftyzer of Hastings

Sharringa and de Boer have served a number of terms on the board, but Hoftyzer will be serving his first term.
