CBOT Weekly: Prices expected to slowly recover

Unless tariffs throw a wrench into things

Corn and soybean futures at the Chicago Board of Trade are expected to slowly recover by the end of March, said broker Ryan Ettner of Allendale Inc. in McHenry, Ill. However, the tariff policies of the Trump administration could easily redirect that trend.

Oats swinging higher, but rangebound

Futures no longer connected to cash market

As oat futures fluctuate on the Chicago Board of Trade, they remain rangebound, said Progressive Ag analyst Tom Lilja in Fargo, N.D. However, to Scott Shiels of Grain Millers Canada in Yorkton, Sask. there’s a disconnect between those futures and cash prices for oats.
