Report agricultural boilers and pressure vessels by Nov. 30

The deadline for owners and operators of existing agricultural boilers and pressure vessels (BPVs) to report their BPV devices is November 30, 2021. Devices can be reported to the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) on its website.

This deadline, which followed the Information Order issued in October, gives agricultural owners and operators an additional 60 days to report existing BPV equipment installed before July 1, 2021.

Submission of the equipment reporting form is an important first step. TSSA needs basic information to do a site risk assessment and establish a priority list for scheduling the inspection to be conducted within five years. Priority for inspections will be given to agricultural operations with high-risk sites.

Holland Marsh marks a century of agricultural innovation and resilience

Discover how Holland Marsh has evolved over the past century from a modest swamp to Ontario’s key horticultural hub, producing a significant percentage of Asian vegetables, carrots, onions, and leafy greens consumed provincially and contributing over $1 billion annually to the local economy.

The TSSA says sites will receive a notification one month before the inspection date. If your devices are exempt from the regulation under O. Reg. 220/01 s.2, there will be no fee associated with the inspection.

To reschedule the inspection, contact [email protected] or your local inspector.
