A new national poultry event due to launch in Stratford this fall won’t go ahead. Instead, the Canadian Poultry Xpo will launch in 2021.
Organizers said that after discus- sion with the venue, the City of Stratford and the local medical officer of health, it was decided that restrictions around large gatherings meant that the event had to be postponed.
All exhibitors and sponsors will receive a 10 per cent interest payment on any exhibitor and/or sponsorship fees paid towards CPX 2020. The Xpo is also allowing exhibitors to donate the 10 per cent to the Canadian Mental Health Association for work it does in the agriculture sector across Canada.
The event is set for Nov. 3-4, 2021.
“We sincerely thank the industry and producers for your patience in these times of uncertainty. There is immense strength in the poultry industry and the greater agricultural community,” the organizers said in a statement.
