Chuck Baresich, founder and president of Haggerty AgRobotics, has been collaborating with agriculture technology companies around the world to bring their technology to Canada to test.

The autonomous agriculture demonstration will take place on the west demo field on Oxford Road #30 between the middle machinery and lower machinery malls.

Here’s what visitors can see this year:

  • The FarmDroid, a solar-powered robot that seeds and weeds, will run on a plot planted by the FarmDroid. This equipment will weed the crop between the rows and around the plants.
  • The Naïo Orio electric weeding robot (for vegetables and industrial crops) and the Naïo Oz inter-row robot (with its RTK GPS guidance system that helps with weeding and hoeing chores) will also weed the crop.
  • The AgroIntelli Robotti robot with a four-row planting unit mounted, plus potentially a strip till unit mounted, will be there.
  • The Nexus GOAT, a robot with mechanical fingers that can identify weeds and remove them by pulling them out, will go through its paces.
  • The Korechi RoamIO with weed scanning system.
  • The Korechi RoamIO with autonomous soil sampling prototype system.
