Two new models have been added to Case IH’s Vestrum line of utility tractors, the 110 and 120.

Glacier FarmMedia – In 2020, Case IH introduced the two-model line of Vestrum utility class tractors offering 100 and 130 horsepower, respectively. In February, the red brand added two more models to that line that fit in between those first two tractors. The newest Vestrums are rated at 110 and 120 engine horsepower. At the same time, the company updated the features on the existing models to match those introduced on the new 110 and 120.

“We are excited to offer customers an expanded range of model options and cab upgrades to continue to improve the user experience,” said J.E. Cadle, Case IH mid-range tractor marketing manager. “The Vestrum series is the perfect choice for those needing exceptional manoeuvrability, power and cab comfort in one compact package.”

The Vestrum models boast packing a fair bit of horsepower into a small chassis to make them versatile and manoeuvrable, which also makes them a good fit for a front-end loader. The entire series fits into that sweet spot for livestock producers, those looking for a tractor powerful enough to spend a day in the field with a round baler but nimble enough to navigate tight corral spaces.

Agco settles legal dispute with TAFE

Agco and Tractors and Farm Equipment (TAFE) from India announced July 1 that they had settled their legal dispute, which began in 2024 over local ownership of the Massey Ferguson brand name and other concerns.

Among the changes to the Vestrums is an updated cab. They now offer an optional panoramic high-visibility roof, which creates an unobstructed view of a loader when lifted to its maximum height. Other cab updates include a low-mount front wiper for a larger cleaning area, and when not in use it parks low and out of the operator’s line of sight. For those long days in the field, there is a new in-cab cool box to keep food and drinks chilled.

To make things even more comfortable for operators, Vestrums are now available with optional all-electric control for the hydraulic remotes. And when spec’ing out a Vestrum for loader work, a loader joystick control with forward-reverse shuttle shifting is now an option, too. And as tractors at all brands in most horsepower classes increasingly add advanced digital capability, the Vestrums can now be ordered with Case IH’s Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) Pro 700 Plus touch screen monitor.

Beside the operator’s seat is Case IH’s familiar MultiControl armrest, just like those in the Vestrums’ bigger brothers.

Buyers will still get a choice between two transmissions, the CVXDrive CVT or the ActiveDrive 8 dual-clutch transmission. The ActiveDrive 8 dual-clutch transmission is a 24-speed gear box with eight powershift gears in three ranges. It includes two auto shift modes that allow for gear changes via the multi-function handle or foot throttle. It has the brake-to-clutch feature, which stops the tractor when only the brake pedal is depressed and a memory shuttle for repetitive back-and-forth loader work. Both transmissions will move a Vestrum down the road at up to 40 kilometres per hour.

In front of those transmissions is an FPT 5.4-litre, 16-valve diesel that reaches peak engine horsepower at 1,900 r.p.m. And it offers a 600-hour oil change interval, reducing maintenance requirements. All four models use an SCR emissions system, so expect to keep feeding them diesel exhaust fluid along with fuel refills.

The hydraulic system kicks out 28.5 gallons per minute (108 litres per minute) at relatively low engine r.p.m. And Vestrums use a closed centre system, which means it’s suitable for applications that require a constant hydraulic flow. All four Vestrum models are compatible with the Case IH L103 loaders, which offer a maximum lift capacity of up to 3,836 pounds (1,740 kilograms) at maximum lift height.

Both a rear and front three-point hitch are available. Rear three-point hitch lift capacity comes in at 6,700 pounds (3,040 kilograms).
