Grainews’ machinery editor Scott Garvey is blogging this week from the largest exhibition of new farm machinery on the planet.
Reporting from AgriTechnica at Hanover in northern Germany, Garvey notes that while the show’s 2,700 exhibitors from 48 countries are displaying their newest and best iron, manufacturers at this show also offer "a glimpse of what they intend to offer in future."
Hanover’s 91-acre Messe (fairgrounds), he writes, includes 24 exhibition halls over almost 4.2 million square feet of occupied indoor exhibit space.

"Aside from the updated appearance, this tractor has seen some significant redesigning under the sheet metal," he wrote. The tractor has an increased fuel-cell capacity of 340 litres, "but that still only gives it two to three hours of working time."
New Holland’s product reps, he wrote, "acknowledge that is an area that needs further development."
