Growers of two varieties of Prairie spring white wheats (CPSW) have until the end of July to deliver them as No. 1 or 2 CPSW.
The Canadian Grain Commission on Friday said deliveries of CPSW wheats Snowhite 475 and Snowhite 476 — both of which were deregistered April 28 — are eligible for grades No. 1 and 2 only until July 31.
Deregistered wheat varieties are only eligible for the grade Canada Western Feed.
The CGC said it decided to extend the period of eligibility for both varieties “to help producers who may still have these varieties in storage” and allow growers to deliver them into the CPSW class before the end of the current crop year.
