Some services at Co-ops across Western Canada remain down after a “cybersecurity incident” late last week.
Thursday, Federated Co-operatives Ltd. posted on X that it was “experiencing a cybersecurity incident” that was affecting some internal and customer-facing systems at cardlock and retail Co-op locations. It had shut down some systems as a precaution and had brought in experts, the company added.
Friday, Federated Co-op posted a list of cardlock locations that were open to purchase “clear fuel products.” A spokesperson for Federated Co-op said that these locations are not selling dyed gas or diesel products.

“Local Co-ops are working to open additional locations that may be able to offer dyed products,” the spokesperson said.
On Saturday, the company posted that the ongoing cybersecurity incident could affect inventory of some grocery items.
In response to what it said were questions about customer data, Federated Co-op said they had no evidence that customer data had been compromised.
“If the investigation determines that consumer data was compromised, we will take appropriate action,” Federated Co-op said.
The company declined to comment further but said it hoped to release an update late today or tomorrow.
