Ag communications firm Heyday Communications will merge into the operations of The Marketing Den, a fellow Saskatoon ad and design agency, starting May 1.
Heyday, whose ag clients have included Novozymes, UAP and Seed Hawk, as operated in Saskatoon since 1996, formed there by Rod Delahey. The Marketing Den, whose clients include Saskatchewan Crop Insurance and SaskTel, has operated in Saskatoon since 1976.
“Heyday has been looking for a merger in order to expand services,” Delahey said in a release Friday. “We explored a number of options with companies across North America, and in the end we found the perfect fit right in our own backyard.”

Delahey has previously said his firm, at its outset, sought ag clients with advertising budgets of under $1 million and expanded with them.
The two companies will merge under the Marketing Den name, work out of that company’s new office and continue to focus on advertising, communications and design, they said.
“Heyday’s clients are exclusively in the agriculture sector, so the merger gives The Marketing Den more representation and expertise in that market, and The Marketing Den will provide Heyday with the expanded creative, strategic, media and online resources they require to service those clients,” Marketing Den managing partner Barry Gillings said.
