One of Canada’s biggest ag and construction equipment dealers has signed its second agreement in a week to buy a Manitoba Case IH dealership.
Rocky Mountain Dealerships, a publicly-traded Calgary firm operating 22 Case dealerships across the Prairies, on Monday announced it will buy “certain business assets” of Mayor Equipment at Neepawa, about 75 km northeast of Brandon.
Rocky Mountain said in a release that it expects to close the deal by about Nov. 1, the same time as it seals its deal to buy Enns Agri Sales, a Case IH dealer at Winkler, about 110 km southwest of Winnipeg.
Mayor, which also markets ag shortlines such as Degelman, Morris and MacDon, reported revenues of about $15 million in its last fiscal year, Rocky Mountain said in a release.
The Mayor and Enns acquisitions, if completed as expected, would be the 11th and 12th locations added to Rocky Mountain’s assets since it first went public in December 2007, the company said.
Rocky Mountain didn’t disclose financial terms for either deal. Its plans to buy Enns were announced Oct. 20.
