The head of the union representing grain handler Viterra’s striking office workers says he’s unhappy with some of the company’s tactics.
The company has confirmed it is trying to recruit temporary replacement workers for its head office to replace the 200 employees, who have been on strike since July 7.
It also says it will lock out any rural or maintenance workers that stage any kind of strike.
Hugh Wagner with the Grain Services Union warns the union could organize a boycott of the company if things continue.
A company spokesman says the company’s tactics will help end the strike.
The union says a picket line disrupted business at Viterra’s Moose Jaw terminal for two hours Monday morning, and head officer workers ran an informational picket at the White City terminal Friday.
No new talks are scheduled between the company and the union.
