Crop Chatter: Why is there a cob in my corn plant tassel?

Responding to the latest question in the CropChatter website, Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives agronomists explain why there is a cob seen in some corn plant tassels this year.

Farmers with other questions are encouraged to submit them to the new site, which was launched this week.

With winter wheat seeding approaching, MAFRI staff have also posted top tips for seeding, including recommended stubble height and density to achieve suitable snow catch for winter survival.
