Horses All, a monthly newspaper for the Alberta and western Canadian horse industries, has a new owner in Winnipeg publishing house Farm Business Communications.
Horses All was published and edited respectively by Steve and Cindy Mark of Calgary. The paper has operated since 1977 and covers news and events across the equine sector.
Its fields of coverage include show jumping, western performance (reining, cutting, working cow horse, ranch roping), hunter/jumper, polo, horse racing, driving, western pleasure, dressage, saddle seat, chuckwagon racing, endurance riding and trail riding.

“Since so many of our readers ride horses for work and for pleasure, we saw this publication as an ideal fit,” said Bob Willcox, Farm Business Communications’ publisher.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
The company has named Sherry Butt, a Calgary writer and editor, as the paper’s new editor effective immediately. Sales representatives Karen Wilson of Calgary and Maureen Heon of Red Deer will handle display and classified advertising respectively.
Willcox said in a release that Farm Business Communications is committed to maintain the editorial quality of the publication and its coverage of all disciplines.
Farm Business Communications, a division of Glacier Ventures International, is Canada’s largest farm publisher. Its titles include Country Guide, Canadian Cattlemen, Grainews, the Manitoba Co-operator and Alberta Farmer Express.
