Syngenta Canada Inc. is offering a new liquid foliar biostimulant, YieldON, to help improve crop productivity in cereals, corn, and other row crops.
YieldON combines plant- and seaweed-derived biomolecules, with trace elements of micronutrients manganese, zinc, and molybdenum. Syngenta Canada said in a release that this unique combination of ingredients improves cell division and expansion, allowing increased uptake and transport of nutrients and sugars throughout the plant.
“YieldON amplifies the grain-filling processes that crops naturally do when they transition from the vegetative stage to the reproductive stage of their life cycle,” said Chris Dumigan, Biologicals Technical Lead with Syngenta Canada.

The Ontario Weed Tour at the Elora Research Station discussed how plant staging accuracy, timing and weather conditions can significantly impact crop health, yield and limit potential herbicide application injury.
“It improves plant cell division and the flow of nutrients from leaf tissue to seeds, which, in turn, can increase crop yields.”
YieldON can be tank mixed with a wide variety of fertilizer and registered foliar pesticides.
For growers looking for a yield boost in their wheat, corn, or other row crops, Syngenta said YieldON is best applied with a planned reproductive-timing fungicide.
YieldON will be available to row crop growers across Canada in time for the 2025 growing season and sold in a 2 x 10 litre case and 450 litre tote.
