Ontario Swine Improvement hires general manager

Ontario Swine Improvement recently announced that Rod de Wolde from Millbrook, Ont., has been named general manager of the organization.

First elected to the OSI board of directors in 2005-06, de Wolde has spent the past 6 1/2 years as board chair. He must step down from that position to accept the general manager’s role, and Phil Smith from Iona Station, Ont., will take over as interim chair.

Ontario Swine Improvement Inc. is a not-for-profit industry that acts as a regional centre for the Canadian Centre for Swine Improvement focusing on Genetic Improvement and Research and Development.
